Description

Go where the air is rare with this early-1900s Pittsburgh pennant. Produced by DeMar MFG of Buffalo, this antique "reverse direction" pennant measures 33" across and features the Pirates colors, with hand-sewn black letter patches on a gold field. The beefy block letters have held up remarkably well and overall this high flying flag is very pleasing, despite a few moth holes which force a (VG-EX) designation. The black tassels and accent strip at right are in excellent condition and the gold field surface is fairly clean. Considering it's antique status and extreme rarity, this piece stacks up as a must for advanced collectors.
