Description

The "Chairman of the Board" makes a commanding presence with this colossal framed art print, dual-signed by Whitey Ford and Leroy Neiman. Ford mastered the art of pitching while leading the NY Yankees pitching staff in the 1950s, at the same time Neiman was mastering the art of...well, art. Our pick for the best sports artist ever, Neiman hit another one out of the park with this "Whitey Ford" limited edition Serigraph. Capturing the essence of Ford's mound mastery, this wall-hogging presentation is professionally mounted to overall dimensions of 40-1/2 x 51-1/2", with the image of Ford dominating the landscape. Both subject and artist have signed on the bottom border, with Ford ("8-9") at left and Neiman ("9", d.2012) at right and the piece is LE numbered "120/175" at center between the signatures. Auction LOA from JSA.
