A baseball first and last are celebrated with 2001-2006 commemorative game-used base lot of (2). Both of these bases show abundant signs of authentic use and both bear logos recognizing significant events.
From Cal Ripken Jr's final season comes a "Schutt Sports Hollywood Base" hand dated on the underside with "September 22, 2001", along with the notation "1st" indicating the infield location of first base. Two sides have Ripken's uniform number "8" logo panels, one side has an Orioles logo panel and one side has an American flag panel. Attached to the underside is the original metal anchoring post.
Dated "2006 Inaugural Season" on the top is a St. Louis Cardinals game used base from the first season of play at the newest version of Busch Stadium. This base is identified on the underside with handwritten notations that read "5-29-06, 5th Inning, 3rd Base". Three sides are decorated with "Cardinals 2006 Inaugural Season" panels and the fourth side bears an MLB logo panel with the slogan "I Live For This".
