Multimedia mega-star Bing Crosby (d.1977) had his fingers in a lot of pies. An Oscar and Grammy winner, "Der Bingle" pioneered recording techniques, owned television stations and even had a 25% share in the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball team. This latter role comes into view with this framed display of the media mogul. Arranged in this display are a vintage 8x10 photo at top of Crosby in batting pose wearing a Pirates uniform and a decent sized signature cut below, measuring 3-1/2 x 2-1/4" at its widest points. Accompanied by the inscription "38" which could be a date, Crosby's autograph shows pleasing ("8-9") potency and the photo displays in excellent condition. Auction LOA from JSA.
