Description

An exciting discovery is delivered with the offered 1929 Allegheny Theatre Jimmy Fox(x) specimen! Graded 1.5 Fair by SGC, this postcard-sized portrait of "The Beast" is the only example judged by either PSA or SGC! The "lucky number photograph" entitled holders to a chance of securing "A World Series Baseball Autographed By Nine Athletics Players" on Saturday, October 12th at the Philadelphia venue. Interestingly, on that afternoon, the Athletics defeated the Cubs 10-8 to take a 3-1 advantage in the Fall Classic. This accurately centered 91 year-old piece is quite lovely with only moderately worn corners, off-white edges and a crease-free foundation. Despite microscopic evidence of surface pencil marks, the intense gaze of the 500 Home Run slugger is crystal clear with a clean back. With the limited scope of production and being that most losing cards were thrown away, how many examples of this legend could possibly exist?!
