Baseball fans suffered a sore blow in 1951 with the retirement of Joe DiMaggio, but in that same season amazing consolation was found with the arrival of Mickey Mantle. Keep this truly remarkable passing of the torch fresh in mind, with this 1951 American League Season Pass. This grand ducat makes a stately presentation, with a dignified header centered by an American Eagle above a shield emblem dated "1951". Made to "L.W. Bone and One", this pass "No. 813" notes the "50th Anniversary" of the junior circuit and finishes off with a facsimile signature of period AL President "Wm Harridge". While the dynamic graphics are certainly captivating, the greatest collecting benefit appears on the PSA grading label. Along with a grade designation of (EX 5), the leading certification service's header includes the notation "Valid Mickey Mantle MLB Debut (Apr. 17)".
