Early on in the Bronze Age of comic book history, the Swamp Thing rose from the muck and mire to break out of the costumed super-hero mold and give the genre new life. The brain child of writer Len Wein and artist Berni Wrightson, the big green elemental uses his abilities to control all plant life in thwarting villains in the shared DC Universe. Go back to Swamp Thing's roots with this 1972-1973 early issue comic book lot of (4). Featured issues average (FN) with: #1 from 11/72 with origin of Swamp Thing and start of Wrightson art, #2 from 1/73 with first brief appearance of Patchwork Man, #3 from 3/73 with first full appearance of Patchwork man, #4 from 5/73 with classic Wrightson cover.
