Drafted out of Michigan by the New England Patriots in the year 2000, Tom Brady paid big dividends almost immediately by winning Super Bowl XXXVI in 2001. Shortly after his first triumph on the NFL's main stage, Brady was honored by renowned artist Robert Emmett Mueller (d.2017) with this extremely limited "Touchdown Pass" woodcut print. Measuring 23-1/2 x 28-1/2", this dynamic rendering depicts the Patriots star quarterback doing what he does best, as he sets to launch a scoring pass. Described as a polymath who excelled as an artist, engineer, inventor, author, musician and puppet maker, Mueller created artworks that were displayed in famous museums such as MoMA in New York and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. The offered Brady piece is LE numbered "5/5" and Mueller has titled and signed on the bottom border. A couple of light fold impressions at right are fairly unobtrusive and otherwise this captivating artwork presents in excellent state. No authentication for the artist's signature due to time/cost restraints.
