As all good things must come to an end, so too did the remarkable career of Wilt Chamberlain. But before the dominant big man hung it up, he enjoyed one last great hurrah in winning the 1972 NBA championship with the LA Lakers. The greatest obstacle Chamberlain and his super-talented teammates had to overcome was rising star Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. In a much hyped playoffs matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks, the aging veteran Chamberlain schooled the Bucks rising star giant with an amazing display of hustle and determination. Ironically KAJ would go on to join the Lakers in 1975, filling the cavernous hole left by Chamberlain's 1973 retirement and as the team's elder statesman, along with Magic Johnson he led LA to five championships in the 1980s. Grace your collection with this pair of basketballs autographed by these legendary big men. Chamberlain (d.1999) has signed one ball in metallic silver with bold ("9-10") potency and has included the inscriptions "HOF 78, 13". Jabbar has signed the other ball with ("9") potency, also in silver. The Chamberlain autograph comes with full photo LOA from JSA; and the Jabbar autograph comes with auction LOA from JSA.
