Yes, you read the title right, the offered baseball is signed by both Dave Winfield and George Steinbrenner. As baseball's version of oil and water, these two simply did not mix. When HOF slugger Winfield joined the Yankees in 1981, he became the highest paid player in baseball. "The Boss" mistakenly believed he had signed Winfield for less money and throughout the rest of the 1980s Steinbrenner perpetuated a feud that resulted in him being banned from the day to day operations of his own team. In a potentially unique case, this 1993 Official All-Star Game baseball (EX-MT+) is signed by Winfield on the sweet spot with ("8-9") strength and by Steinbrenner on the west panel with ("7-8") strength. A curious souvenir indeed, this fantastic ball may be the only one signed by this odd couple pair of baseball legends. Full photo LOA from JSA.
