Marvel's first team of super-heroes has been going strong since 1961. Head back to the Silver Age with this 1965 Fantastic Four comic book lot of (4). The iconic FF team has enjoyed legions of followers over the past six decades and these early issues are in high demand. All (4) are encapsulated and graded by leading certification service CGC, with: #37 (VG 4.0), #38 (VG+ 4.5), #41 (GD 2.0) and #42 (VG- 3.5). A great bit of nostalgia is noted with the appearance of "MMMS" advertisements on the bottom of the covers of issues 37 and 38.
This new to the market comic offering comes from the estate of a lifetime collector who purchased his collection at time of publication in the 1960s. One of sixty-six such comic book lots in the current H&S May, 2020 auction, these Silver Age classics were held by the original owner until his demise last year, at which point his collection was bequeathed to a longtime friend, who though reluctant to let go of his friend's nostalgic posessions, has decided they should be enjoyed by dedicated collectors. Those comics which are graded were submitted to CGC c.2001-2003 and along with those that are not graded, were lovingly stored for more than fifty years regardless of condition. Enjoy this vintage selection from the fabulous "Ford Collection".
