Looking back we see the Kennedy half dollar series has been in circulation for fifty-six years and counting. Created to honor President John F. Kennedy shortly after his assassination in 1963, this now venerable series began in 1964 with a 90% silver composition. While U.S. coins ceased to be produced with silver content in 1965, the Kennedy half series continued to be made with a 40% silver composition from 1965 to 1970, with six different date/mintmarks struck during the defined period. Offered is a complete 1964-1970 run of (8) silver JFK coins, all graded by PCGS in Choice to Gem BU grades. Featured are:

(2) Type 1 90% silver coins: 1964 (MS65), 1964-D (MS65)

(6) Type 2 40% silver coins: 1965 (MS64), 1966 (MS66, somewhat scarce in this grade), 1967 (MS64), 1968-D (MS64), 1969-D (MS64), 1970-D (MS-64)
