In the ongoing pursuit of quality examples, dedicated comic book seekers typically find graded issues offered on a solo basis. True die-hards also know all too well that the supply of better grade Silver Age comics is drying up on a continuing basis. Marvel fans find great cause for jubilation with this 1960s Daredevil consecutive run of (10) early issues, numbered 10 through 19. This very satisfying group rings the prize bell long and loud, with generally well-preserved comics that are all graded by tops in the business CGC.
Featured issues with grades are: #10 (FN-VF 7.0), #11 (VF 8.0), #12 (VF+ 8.5), #13 (FN+ 6.5), #14 (VF- 7.5), #15 (FN-VF 7.0), #16 (VG 4.0), #17 (FN-VF 7.0), #18 (VF+ 8.5) and #19 (VF- 7.5).
This new to the market comic offering comes from the estate of a lifetime collector who purchased his collection at time of publication in the 1960s. One of sixty-six such comic book lots in the current H&S May 2020 auction, these Silver Age classics were held by the original owner until his demise last year, at which point his collection was bequeathed to a longtime friend, who though reluctant to let go of his friend's nostalgic possessions, has decided they should be enjoyed by dedicated collectors. Many of the comics that are graded were submitted to CGC c.2001-2003 and along with those that are not graded, were lovingly stored for more than fifty years regardless of condition. Enjoy this vintage selection from the fabulous "Ford Collection."
