In our previous auction, a 1928 Providence Steam Rollers program sold for over $1,000—and this one has the advantage of featuring legend Curly Lambeau in the Packer line-up. It was the high-water mark for the Providence franchise as 1928 saw Jimmy Conzelman and company lose just one game en route to the NFL title. Interestingly, Providence holds the distinction of being the last now-defunct NFL team to win a championship. Lambeau's Pack managed to eke out a 7-7 tie in the final game of the season, on December 2nd, and that matched the maximum number of points that Providence had given up in a single game all year! The program measures 6-1/4" x 9-1/2" and technically rates GD but presents nicer.
