The Robinsons pay a call with this 10/10/66 Sports Illustrated Vol. 25, #15 edition. Originating in 1901 as the Milwaukee Brewers, then stationed in St. Louis as the Browns from 1902-1953, the Baltimore Orioles franchise suffered a painfully long period of also-ran status. After decades of wandering around the nether regions of the American League standings, the promised land was reached in 1966 when the O's took down a talent-rich Los Angeles Dodgers team to earn their first World Series championship. Much of the muscle for this triumphant campaign was provided by Hall of Famers Frank Robinson and Brooks Robinson, who are dubbed "Baltimore's Heroes" on the front cover of the offered Sports Illustrated issue. This glorious magazine is graded (7.5) by CGC and holds the top spot on the Census report as "1/1" with none higher. As large as he is, it looks like there's enough room on the cover of this issue for them to have squeezed in the very deserving Boog Powell.
