When the Washington Nationals began MLB play as the Montreal Expos in 1969, one of the earliest souvenirs the franchise gave birth to was this c.1969-1970 "batting baby" bobble head doll. This rare figure is an interesting departure from typical bobble heads, with a child holding a bat perched on a green pedestal. Minor wear is evident on the head opening perimeter and also on the right cheek at the point where the face makes contact with the bat. Otherwise this well-preserved example is bright, clean and glossy with bold paint, adding up to a solid (EX-MT+) rating.
