Description

Originating as a small character in J.M. Barrie's 1904 "Peter Pan" stage play, "Tinker Bell" has grown greatly in popularity over the years, though not in size. Featured prominently in the 1953 "Peter Pan" animated Disney feature film, this palm-sized pixie has blossomed to become known worldwide as the mascot of the Disney empire. Offered are (3) Tinker Bell items issued by Disney, with a figurine statue and a couple of framed displays. These delightful treasures are sure to bring happy thoughts, so take flight with this magical trio.

Featured are:

c.1953 Walt Disney Productions "Clean Up Suggestions Tinker Bell" model sheet for animators working on Disney's 1953 "Peter Pan" animated feature film. Marked property of "Walt Disney Productions", this multi-image sheet was made available to the Disney artists working on the film, as examples of how the Tinker Bell character should appear. Seen in a visible area of 16-1/2 x 13-1/2", this sheet is framed to overall dimensions of 24-1/2 x 21-1/2". A vertical fold crease is noted at center and while the surface shows moderate overall wear, the images remain distinct and overall the piece remains appealing.

c.1972-1979 Goebel 8-1/2" figurine with "Bee in V, Goebel, W. Germany" hallmark on the underside of the base, which is also numbered "517" and impressed with a "Walt Disney Productions 1959" copyright. This clean and vibrant porcelain ceramic statue is nicely preserved in (NM+) state.

1996 Walt Disney Company "Playful Pixie Sericel", which recreates "Sequence 11, Scene 48" from the 1953 Disney animated feature film "Peter Pan". From a limited edition of "5,000", this hand-inked/hand-painted cel is seen in a visible area of 10x13 and is framed to overall dimensions of 18x21. The cel presents as like new, however the frame is absent of the laminate surface material on the top and bottom edges. This piece is accompanied by a COA from the Walt Disney Company.
