There's a galaxy of Star Trek trading cards out there and at the far side you'll find the 1993 SkyBox series that came packaged with VHS tapes of the "The Original Series" episodes. Save your Dilithium Crystal power for another mission, because we have a complete set of this super-tough series right here. This (80) card set was issued one card per package with individual episodes of the 1960s Star Trek TV show that started it all. These cards are numbered 1 through 79 with corresponding obverse photos for each episode of the original series, plus card #99 representing a pilot episode.
To complete this set you actually had to buy 80 VHS tapes in 1993, which adds up to a good amount of disposable income, and then you had to store the tapes unless you were buying them just for the cards. Nowadays single cards are typically offered in the $10-40 range and you would have a better shot at beating Spock in a game of three-dimensional chess, than you do of finding another complete set. Though these cards are condition sensitive due to a borderless design with blue backgrounds, this set has survived in overall pleasing state with a condition range of (70% EX to NM+, 30% VG to VG-EX). Set your phaser to bid and score this fantastic set featuring your favorite Star Trek characters.
