Photo seekers score big with this trio of antique basketball cabinets in matching frames. Those who regularly deal in cabinet photos are well aware of the fact that large format examples are super tough to find in excellent condition. Dating from the early 1900s, these (3) basketball team photos far exceed typically offered fare of such considerable size. These photos are professionally mounted in identical rustic wood frames with overall dimensions of approximately 13x17 and end pieces that protrude a few inches further at the corners.
(2) photos are of the same team from two different seasons, with players wearing "W.H.S." jerseys. One of these WHS photos is horizontally oriented and sees the team with their coach at center, a trophy next to him and a basketball at bottom dated "W.H.S. '02-'03". This photo is seen in a visible area of 12-1/2 x 10" and the only signs of wear are a small abrasion at top left abutting the matting and some extraneous black dots clustered around the right arm of the player seated at bottom left. The other WHS photo is vertically oriented and depicts players only, with a basketball at bottom center dated "WHS '03-'04". This photo has a visible area of 10x13 and while only scant traces of wear are noted, the photo has slipped out of position a bit and would benefit from repositioning.
The third photo has a smaller visible area of 6x8, but still leans towards the larger size of the cabinet photo range. This vertically oriented photo displays as nearly pristine, with scant wear detected under magnified examination. The pictured players are all wearing "1908" jerseys and the fellow seated at center is holding a ball dated "MAC 1908".
