Travel back in time to the ninth playing of the World Series, with this New York Giants program scored for Game 4. This highly regarded affair is remembered as an exciting, closely contested match-up between the Giants and the Boston Red Sox, that was decided in the 10th inning of Game 8. This pitching rich event featured ace hurlers Christy Mathewson, Rube Marquard, Jeff Tesreau and series hero "Smokey Joe" Wood, who went 3-1 in three starts and a relief appearance in the 8th and final game, which was required as Game 2 was declared a tie after eleven innings of play.

Graced with a cover photo of Hall of Fame manager John McGraw, this historic program was issued at Brush Stadium (Fenway Park), name after team president John T. Brush, who is pictured in a diamond at bottom right. This ancient gameday souvenir appears to have been professionally restored along the spine and the result is very pleasing. While a vertical compacting fold is noted at center and a there is a small bit of surface loss on the front cover at bottom right, this handsome program is otherwise clean and bright from front to back. Presenting as a VG example, this 108-year-old World Series program shows nice gloss and vibrant colors on the cover and the pages are generally supple. Pictured inside the front cover is the legendary Christy Mathewson at the height of his remarkable career, and other images include Red Sox and Giants team photos and a campaign ad for Woodrow Wilson.
