Soccer fans score a fantastic collecting goal, with this Pele typed letter signed. The biggest name in the history of the sport, the Brazilian legend is famous worldwide by his nickname "Pele", which is a heck of lot easier than pronouncing his full name, Edson Arantes do Nascimento. Dated 2/17/79, the offered letter is typed on an 8x10 sheet of Warner Communications letterhead, that is double-matted to 11x14. With deference to several original period, horizontal compacting folds, this crisp correspondence reports in excellent condition, with distinct content. Warner and its founder Steve Ross backed the New York Cosmos NASL team, which was led by Pele as a player from 1975-1977. This very desirable letter is addressed to a female fan, in response to a photo request. Pele has provided a bold ("9") strength signature by means of a fiber-tip pen, and his name is typed as "Edson - Pele" just below the signature. Full photo LOA from JSA.
