Description

Some guys have all the luck, then there was Pete Reiser. A budding superstar in the early 1940s, the speedy center fielder lost three years to WWII military service and was plagued by injuries throughout his 10-year career. 1941 was the lone season he managed to get more than 500 at bats and he responded by leading the NL in hitting, with a .343 batting average. Death claimed him too soon in 1981, when he succumbed to respiratory disease at the age of 62. Make a very rare addition to your collection, with this Reiser single-signed ONL/Frick baseball. Though this ball is considerably darkened, Reiser's ("7") strength autograph still projects potently from its sweet spot location. The ball's factory labeling stamps are well faded, however enough detail remains to positively identify the type. While we cannot state it positively, it's likely that this ball is a period signed example for Reiser's active playing days. PSA/DNA basic cert/sticker.
