A big reason the New York Yankees won five consecutive World Series championships from 1949-1953, was the pitching staff's "Big Three". This dominant three-headed monster consisted of ace hurlers Allie Reynolds, Ed Lopat and Vic Raschi, the latter of whom is represented here. Considered a tough and highly valued target when it comes to autographed balls, Raschi (d.1988) racked up an incredible win-loss record of 120-50 while with the Yankees from 1946-1953, keeping himself under constant consideration for the annual MVP award in the process. Turns out the "Springfield Rifle" was also pretty handy with the pen, as evidenced by this single-signed baseball. Properly located on the sweet spot of an OAL/Brown ball, Raschi's autograph projects ("8-9") potency and the ball boasts bold factory stampings on a sporadically toned, off-white to light-cream surface. PSA/DNA basic cert/sticker.
