Bear down on this vintage Sports Illustrated issue graced with a front cover photo of Alabama football coach "Bear" Bryant. At the helm of the Crimson Tide, Bryant washed over the SEC to capture 14 conference championships and 6 national titles during his 1957-1983 reign as the master of the college football game. Dated 8/5/66, this Vol. 25, #7 edition of Sports Illustrated features an image of Bryant looking very much the sage in his trademark hounds tooth hat. Revving up the prestige of this mid-1960s publication is a (7.5) grade designation provided by leading certification service CGC. This desirable grade puts this example at the top of the CGC Census report, as "1/1" with none higher.
