The 1888 St. Louis Browns were the toast of our national pastime by conquering the American Association with a 92-43 record. Although they lost to the New York Giants in an earlier version of the World Series, the squad fielded a stellar cast of nineteenth century stars. This interesting 1888 Scrapps Die-Cut collectible features the complete team set of nine players (one for each position). The ephemera is glue affixed to the inside cover of a weathered Victorian-era scrapbook. Despite varying degrees of wear including paper loss and staining to each player, the antique imagery is still quite attractive. Players include: Bushong, Caruthers, Comiskey, Foutz, Gleason, Latham, O'Neill, Robinson and Welch.
