Description

25 Hall of Famers! Produced by Michael Pressner and Co. of New York City, the 1943 R302-1 M.P. & Co. Baseball edition was one of only a handful of diamond issues released during the turbulent war years. The offered near set of (21/24) cards also features (36) duplicates. Despite being primarily low-grade due to a combination of wear including crude scissor cuts and moderate creasing/handling, this selection delivers significant break potential. Highlights include: (4) Boudreau (average FR), (4) Cronin (average FR), Dickey (PR), Feller (FR), (3) Foxx ((2) GD, FR), (3) Greenberg (VG, (2) GD), (2) Medwick (VG, PR), Mize (GD), Ott (PR), (2) Reese RC (GD, FR), Ruffing (GD) and (2) T. Williams (one VG, one PR, reverse writing). Missing only DiMaggio, Hack and Hubbell for completion.
