Well before Jackie Robinson stepped over the foul line and onto the baseball diamond at Ebbets Field, several black child actors were regular members of the groundbreaking "Our Gang" cast, who are also known as the "Little Rascals". For two decades spanning the transition from the "silent era" to the "talkies", these racially integrated cast members were portrayed as social peers in their "reel lives" at movie theaters, at a time when black and white people did not mix as freely in real life.
Get your hands on an original period piece of memorabilia from the highly popular Our Gang short film series, with this 1938 "Little Rascals in 'Came the Brawn'" one-sheet movie poster. This historically significant poster is vibrant and clean, with distinct images of the cast members, including Jackie Cooper, "Spanky" McFarland, Ernie Morrison billed as "Sunshine Sammy", Allen Hoskins billed as "Farina" and others. Framed to overall dimensions of 31x45, this eighty-three year old film promoter is very pleasing, however moderate wear is evident along some of the original period fold lines and there is a 3" diagonal tear at the bottom left corner.
