Description

"Gotham City" dazzles with this Batman limited edition display. This captivating creation is a comic character masterpiece from a Remarque Serigraph edition by artist Melanie Taylor Kent, who has signed ("8-9") in gold at bottom. Also noted on the black border are the LE numbering "100/275" and the date "1994", also in gold.

Seen swinging past a series of skyscrapers at center, the "Dark Night" is the focal point of the scene. Faithful sidekick Robin is nearby in his can't miss red, green and gold costume, and Batgirl swoops in from above. A well-heeled crowd of onlookers is gathered around the "Bat-signal" at bottom center for the unveiling of a towering Batman statue, and the "Caped Crusader's" arch villains dot the sky-scape, including the Joker, Penguin, Riddler, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Two-Face and others.

Measuring a colossal 32-1/2 x 47-1/2", the professionally mounted shadowbox frame shows minor wear and is serviceable. Taylor Kent's artwork is absolutely fantastic with great perspective, and the scene comes together with the feel of a high profile ceremony. Enhancing the three dimensional quality of this Serigraph print are white stars on the frame's glass surface, slanted purple matting and a bellied out portion of the artwork around the statue area. The Remarqued section at bottom below the border completes the design, with the Riddler ready to make his move on a priceless "Eagle-Eyed Necklace" in a museum display. Truly magnificent, this colorful presentation is a must for dedicated "Bat-Fans".
