Long after his demise, the immortal Babe Ruth continued to help companies promote their products. Such was the case with this 1971 Union Camp "Babe Ruth Had It" promotional advertising poster. This vintage 25x35 poster presents as a clean and vibrant example with just minor peripheral wear, that is wrapped tight with a cardboard backer. While this poster has a fresh off the press look to it, the backer has two horizontal folds near the center, which appear to have moderately transferred to the surface of the poster itself, though it appears the fold impressions should not be an issued should the poster be housed in a frame. A Union Camp logo is positioned next to the slogan "Who's on Williamsburg Offset The King of Swat himself. Like to be next?". This slogan was targeted at printers, to promote the high quality of the Williamsburg Offset paper and the "It" that the Babe had is likely a reference to his champion nature. Incorporating patriotic elements in the layout, this piece is the work of artist John Alcorn, whose name appears at bottom left.
