During the early years of the NBA, the Minneapolis Lakers hit the floor like gang busters, as the League's first dynasty. A bit of cooling off led to high number draft pick selections Elgin Baylor and Jerry West. Owner Bob Short decided the best place to showcase his budding superstars was sunny Los Angeles, so the Lakers became the NBA's first West Coast team during the 1960 off-season. Track the franchise's first two seasons in L.A. with this 1960-1962 Lakers media guide lot of (2), with: 1960-1961 presents EX-MT details with deference to a small gouge of surface paper loss at top right on the front cover and several spine cracks; 1961-1962 (EX-MT) due to several spine cracks, otherwise very pleasing. The latter edition is loaded with photos of the great period players, including Chamberlain, Gola, Russell, Cousy, Robertson, Pettit, Schayes, Greer, Twyman and of course Baylor and West.
