In 1934 Babe Ruth traveled to Japan on a U.S. All-Star Baseball Tour. The “Sultan of Swat” was greeted by thousands of cheering Japanese fans, as his popularity and fame grew so widespread that he became known throughout the world. His performance during the tour led to several different Japanese baseball cards being produced of Ruth over the years. Presented is a 1950 JCM21 53 rectangular “menko” depicting Babe Ruth as the "Joker." This international piece presents an amazing likeness of “The Babe” along with his name in Japanese and presents in overall (NM) condition.
