Description

Imagine all the pandemonium surrounding this first-ever pro football game in far-flung Tampa, when rookie phenom Red Grange and his Chicago Bears barnstormed against the immortal Jim Thorpe's Tampa Cardinals. Grange famously got a speeding ticket the night before, and then he dazzled spectators with a 70-yard TD run en route to a 17-3 victory. The 7-1/2" x 10-1/2" program features 4 photos of the Galloping Ghost—including 2 collegiate game-action shots. Joining him in the Bears lineup are fellow Hall of Famers George Halas, George Trafton and Link Lyman, while Thorpe headlines the Cardinals. VG-EX condition overall.
