The EX-MT file copy of Sports Illustrated #1 comes with a Sports Collectibles COA that reads, "This certifies that the enclosed August 16, 1954 Sports Illustrated Magazine is an authentic and genuine Original 1954 Press-Run First Issue...The print production quantity of this Sports Illustrated First Issue was approximately 600,000...This further certifies that I did personally open in October 1995 the original 1954 bundle in which this Sports Illustrated Magazine was packed."

The remainder of the collection averages about VG condition in the 1960/early 1970s, VG-EX to EX in the later 1970s/1980s, and EX to EX-MT in the 1990s/2000s. There are full/partial mailing labels scattered throughout. Great cover cameos!
