Venture into the business side of baseball, with this 1965 Baltimore Orioles stock certificate number "6458". Made in the amount of 10 Shares, this vintage document is framed to overall dimensions of 15-1/2 x 11-1/2". With deference to original period, vertical compacting folds, this "Common" stock certificate presents in excellent condition, with distinct graphics, bold colors, and a clean surface. Located at top center, is the Orioles team logo with "Bird" mascot. At bottom are facsimile signatures of team secretary Robert J. Gill, and team president Lee MacPhail Jr, who took over as A.L. President later on in 1965. The one live signature, is that of the transfer agent at bottom right, whose endorsement made the deal official. It's interesting to note, that the Baltimore Baseball Club seal at bottom left notes the state of Missouri, where the O's franchise originated as the St. Louis Browns. Even more interesting, is a passage that notes the par value as $1 per share.
