A short-lived, long-defunct team is recalled, with this 75 year-old pro football ticket stub. When the AAFC took on the NFL in 1946, the Miami Seahawks were a charter member of the upstart league. The Seahawks first season was a fiasco, and the franchise was bought and moved to Baltimore. The relocated team was re-branded the Colts, however the change of scenery and identity didn't lead to much better results. Things bottomed out when this first ever Baltimore Colts franchise joined the NFL in 1950. The hapless squad produced a 1-11 record, and a lot of lonely beer and hot dog vendors, before fading away into permanent oblivion when the 1950 season ended.

A fine gameday souvenir from the Baltimore Colts first ever game surfaces, with this 9/7/47 ticket stub from an AAFC game versus the Brooklyn Dodgers at Baltimore Stadium. This scarce survivor shows crisp VG-EX details, with deference to the game's results "Baltimore - 16, Brooklyn - 7" written on the back of the stub.
