Graded 80 EX/NM 6 by SGC and confirmed as pose #499-1. "Man's best friend" (and Art Whitney) takes center stage on the offered 1887 N172 Old Judge artifact. This tobacco card which pictures the New York player with a pooch's paw on his knee is one of the most popular (and interesting) poses in the expansive tobacco card series! The pinkish foundation is quite clean with evenly touched corners and crisp edges. The blank reverse is problem-free and the overall presentation is extremely attractive.
