Right around the time the Philadelphia Eagles won the NFL championship in 1960, Pro-Bowl cornerback Tom Brookshier was suiting up in the jersey featured in this framed display. This c.1960-1961 game-worn jersey is labeled Champion Knitwear size "44" on the tail at left, and it shows abundant signs of authentic use, including sweat stains around the collar, soiling on the arms and shoulders, and what appears to be a blood stain, on the seam just below the number "4" on the left shoulder.

Sized at 35-1/2 x 37", this professionally mounted display also hosts an 8x10 football pose photo, signed by Brookshier ("9-10") with "40, 1960 Eagle Champs" inscriptions. A real fan favorite, "Brookie" had his number retired by the Eagles organization, in recognition of his years of reliable, hard-hitting play. His Eagles career came to a halt midway through the 1961 season, when he suffered a compound fracture of his right leg. In 1962, Brookshire embarked on a lengthy career as a popular sportscaster, at both the regional and national levels. His game calling days peaked, when he and Pat Summerall worked Super Bowls X, XII and XIV in the 1970s.
