Antique tobacco card connoisseurs enjoy a golden opportunity, with this 1888 N135 Duke Talk of the Diamond partial set of (11/25). Free of major detractions, this exciting group is populated with outstanding examples that range (VG to EX). These very nicely preserved cards are solid, with bright, clean obverses that display excellent color integrity. While the reverses are free of horrors such as surface loss and adhesive/paper residue, (4) have numbers written in pencil, and one of these has hash marks next to the checklist titles. Otherwise the backs are generally pleasing, with distinct text and fairly clean surfaces. Truly a magnificent accumulation, these superior cards form a rock solid foundation towards building a high quality set of N158 cards.
