Toiling most of his career for Phillies squads that went from pedestrian to futile, Hall of Fame hurler Robin Roberts was the definition of a "workhorse" on the mound. He once pitched twenty-eight consecutive complete games, and also prided himself on being a control artist who was very stingy with walks. Take control of your collecting destiny, at least for the time being, by scoring this 1963 Jell-O retail box with baseball card #66 Robin Roberts. Though cut open along the top and left edges of the back panel, this vintage box is complete, and also very attractive. The front has a factory fresh appeal, while the Roberts card on the back rates as (VG) due to minor creasing near the bottom right corner, and a surface impression streak near the left end, otherwise it is vibrant and fairly clean.
