A tip of the cap is in order to the fine folks at Ring Magazine, who did a masterful job in producing this Larry Holmes 1980 heavyweight championship boxing belt. Free of wear, this like-new commemorative is centered with a hefty 7-1/2 x 7" bronze plaque, featuring a boxing figure on a "The Ring Magazine" podium, above the legend "World Champion Award". At left and right, are two more plaques, which both measure 3-5/8 x 5-3/4". The plaque on the left is engraved with "World Championship Award Presented to Larry Holmes, Easton, PA."; and the plaque on the right is engraved with "Recognized by The Ring Magazine  as Heavyweight Champion on March 31, 1980". At rear, is a pair of leather fastening straps and buckles, with bronze accents, including one accent that bears a "The Ring" logo. Radiating display appeal, this magnificent belt is an easy call for dedicated boxing buffs.

This high-quality belt was produced by the manufacturer employed exclusively by The Ring Magazine. Many similar belts of lesser quality were issued by other entities and are readily available, but none equal these The Ring belts in craftsmanship and presentation. It is also worth noting, that The Ring official commemorative championship belts, such as the one offered here, are much more difficult to find than lesser types.
