Description



The time is right, to claim this collection of (11) 1940s-2000s multi-sport wrist watches. Legends from the sports of baseball, basketball, boxing and the Looney Tunes, make this an enticing offering, with all-time greats Babe Ruth, Muhammad Ali, Mickey Mantle, Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny leading the way. All (11) watches are in better to like-new condition, with minimal to moderate wear. 


Featured are:


Babe Ruth 1940s watch marked "Swiss" with illustrated portrait image and facsimile signature. Shows moderate wear, and comes with a working winder knob and Speidel flex metal band that is marked "10K GF Top Caps 67" on the end near the bezel. 


Mickey Mantle 1970s watch with batting pose photo and name printed on the face in block letters. Shows light wear and has a working winder and leather band marked "Hong Kong Genuine Calf."


Mickey Mantle/Rogers Maris/Willie Mays 1960s All-Stars watch with facsimile signatures on a baseball. Marked "Swiss Made" and shows moderate wear. The winder works and the band is leather. 


Bugs Bunny c.1990s baseball batting pose watch with "Looney Tunes League Since 1926" printed on the face and shows moderate wear. The back of the watch is branded "Warner Brothers Watch Collection" with logo and the leather band is marked "Acme All stars" on the front and "Genuine Leather Hong Kong" on the back. Appears to be a battery operated type. 


(2) Michael Jordan c.1990s watches, both branded "Wilson." One watch has a portrait image, facsimile signature and number 23 on the face; while the other watch pictures Jordan holding a basketball. Both show light to moderate wear, and both have leather bands with facsimile signatures on the front, and "Genuine Leather China" on the back. 


Harlem Globetrotters 1970s CBS Inc. watch with player illustration is believed to be tied in with 1970-1971 animated TV series. Shows moderate wear. Has a working winder, and the band is marked "Genuine Leather" on the back.


Muhammad Ali c.1970s watch with boxing pose image, facsimile signature and "The Greatest" legend on the front. Shows minimal wear other than abrasions on the crystal, and has an unmarked leather band. The winder is not working. 


Ernie Shavers modern watch with boxing pose image, facsimile signature and the legend "The Greatest Puncher of the Century" on the front, presents like-new. Housed in its original presentation case, this watch has a bi-color steel band, and comes with an International Sports Series limited edition COA numbered "2/2,500." Appears to be a battery operated type.


Jake LaMotta c.1990s-2000s SMI Awards watch with boxing pose image and facsimile signature on the front. Is housed in its original presentation case, and presents like-new. Comes with a Newport Markeing boxing card COA signed on the front by LaMotta ("10"), and LE numbered "1/200" on the back. Also comes with a photo of LaMotta signing the COA card. The band is marked "Genuine Leather China". Appears to be a battery operated type. 


Carmen Basilio c.1990s-2000s SMI Awards watch with boxing pose image and facsimile signature on the front. Is housed in its original presentation case, and presents like-new. Comes with a Newport Markeing boxing card COA signed on the front by LaMotta ("10"), and LE numbered "1/200" on the back. Also comes with a photo of Basilio signing the COA card. The band is marked "Genuine Leather China". Appears to be a battery operated type.
