Dubbed "The Golden Greek," multi-sport phenom and Massachusetts native Harry Agganis was Boston University’s first-ever football All-American and then played with the Boston Red Sox before tragically succumbing to a pulmonary embolism in 1955 at the tender age of 26. This Boston Post Gridiron Club reprint by legendary cartoonist Bob Coyne hails from Agannis' collegiate days and reads, "Boston University's Harry Agganis chosen the outstanding New England football player will be presented the George Bulger Lowe Award at the Gridiron Club Dinner tonight." The personalized fountain-pen signature shows "6-7" strength. Apparent GD/VG condition within a 10x11 frame. Full LOA from JSA.
