Description

Back in December, Franco Harris died just 2 days shy of the Immaculate Reception's 50th anniversary and 3 days before his Steelers uniform number retirement ceremony. In the wake of Harris' passing, who did the TV station CBS Pittsburgh seek to memorialize him? The surviving members of Franco's Italian Army, of course. (Click here to watch.) The group was one of the greatest gridiron fan clubs ever assembled, and their paraphernalia has survived the test of time here. Condition averages EX-MT overall unless noted. Two non-FIA pieces are a signed & personalized card (4-3/4" x 5-3/4", VG, "8", Auction LOA from JSA) and a 12/23/72 Immaculate Reception program (GD). Then there's a stadium seat cushion (13" square, seemingly never used!); jumbo button (3-1/2" diam.); embroidered patch (3" diam.); iron-on patch (4" diam.); small felt banner (12x3, EX); "Command Staff" group photo picturing Franco Harris (8x10, GD); and FIA member certificate (7-1/2" x 11").
