”Joy to the World” and joy to the fortunate collector that takes possession of this fabulous trio of rock music keepsakes. The Three Dog Night ruled the music charts from 1968-1976 with an incredible run of 21 “Top 40” hits. Many of these big hits are included on the (3) gold record displays featured here. These golden discs were bestowed upon Jimmy Greenspoon, a core member of the band, who played keyboards through nearly all of TDN’s history.
All are framed with linen matting in similar format to dimensions of 17-1/2 x 21-1/2”, with a 12” gold record disc, a photo of the corresponding album cover and an engraved brass plate with Greenspoon’s name, the name of the particular album and an “RIAA Certified Sales Award” seal. Two albums are greatest hits compilations, with “Golden Bisquits” and “Joy to the World” which contains the single song of the same name, the band's biggest hit recognized as song of the year for 1971; and the third is the studio album “It Ain’t Easy”. Greenspoon was presented with these prestigious commemoratives in recognition of each of the represented albums achieving more than one million dollars is sales, a figure celebrated as a benchmark of fan appreciation. Though the identical wood frames show light to moderate wear, all remain serviceable and the gold records all present like-new.
