"Ol' Diz" got the Hollywood send up in 1952, when 20th Century Fox released the bio pic "The Pride of St. Louis". No stranger to the spotlight, Cardinals pitching standout "Dizzy" Dean was working in broadcasting at the time of this film's release, which came on the eve of his 1953 Hall of Fame induction. Deck your halls with this original lobby card complete set of (8), that was used to promote this generally true to life movie. Featuring photos of the cast including Dan Daily in the lead role, each of these 11x14 cards is numbered at center on the bottom border. Card #1 is framed to overall dimensions of 22x18 and presents in excellent condition. The other (7) cards are all crisp examples; however, all show moderate corner and each has two pinholes near the right side border, which are unobtrusive to display.
