Presented is a 1949 Bowman Baseball First Series uncut sheet. During the production process backs were overprinted and discarded as factory scraps. This surviving 36-card sheet is comprised of (4) 9-card rows. Despite varying levels of horizontal, perimeter and interior creasing affecting several cards, this artifact still exhibits outstanding eye appeal. Highlights include: #1 Bickford RC (creased), #11 Boudreau RC (crease-free), #23 Doerr (creased), #24 Musial (creased), #26 Kell RC (crease-free), #27 Feller (creased), #29 Kiner (slight abrasion), #33 Spahn (heavy crease), #35 Raschi RC (crease-free) and #36 Reese (paper loss). This piece is framed and matted to overall 23-3/8 x 14-1/2" dimensions and is perfect for display in any home den or office.
