Artist Jeffrey Rubin is best known for his commissions by the Philadelphia 76ers and Flyers—including a Wilt Chamberlain piece that sold at auction for over $4,300. Rubin paints directly atop photographic images on canvas, and his inspired color palette here features a mesmerizing yellow sky. This leaping pose may seem familiar because it was used for one of Robinson's 1947 Bond Bread cards (minus the Ebbets Field background). Measuring an imposing 26x38, the beautiful artwork is handsomely housed in a recessed frame so that it appears to be floating. Signed by the artist.
