As milestones go, getting your 3,000th hit is a big one. To date just thirty-two major league ballplayers have reached the mark, out of countless thousands who have played the game since the 1870s. The best hitter of his day, Tony Gwynn became the 22nd member of the "3,000 Hit Club" on 8/6/99. Commemorate this momentous milestone, with this Gwynn signed full ticket from his 3,000th hit game. Playing against the Montreal Expos at their Olympic Stadium home field, Gwynn notched his milestone hit in the first inning and celebrated with three more knocks that day. This crisp ticket has obviously been well taken care of over the two decades since, as it takes the field in (NM) condition. Gwynn proved as mighty with the pen as he was with the bat, by applying a bold ("9") autograph to the front of this prized ducat. Full JSA LOA.
