Signature seekers make a nice score, with this scarce Rudy York single-signed baseball. The scarce tag is applied to this vintage prize, because York departed a little over half a century ago, way back in 1970. One of the big boppers of his day, York was a consistent power producer during the 1930s-1940, mainly with the Detroit Tigers. Applied to a Spalding Official League baseball, York's large in charge autograph and the salutation "Best of Wishes From" take up nearly all of the surface area of the ball's south panel. This sizable signing makes for strong display appeal, despite some weakening of the letter "k" at the end of his surname. This touch of softness limits the 7X All-Star's signature grade to ("7"), though otherwise it presents potently. The ball's labeling stamps are moderately faded, however all lettering/numbering remains discernible and the light-cream surface is clean and free of abrasions. Full photo LOA from JSA.
