Description

Judge Landis, first baseball commissioner from 1920 until his 1944 death, here writes to American Legion Commander Edward Spafford: "If there is anything left that is good and worth while, I hope it comes to you." Featuring a fountain-pen "9-10" signature, the sheet of MLB letterhead is dated 12/27/28 and displays an 8x10 visible area that's apparent EX-MT with mailing folds. Accompanied by what appears to be a Type I-quality photo (GD) in a 16x20 frame (frame wear). Full LOA from JSA.

Frames included with lots: while we make every effort to protect the frames included in these lots during pre-auction storage and post-auction shipping, we are not responsible for any damage to the frames themselves, and no refunds will be given due to frame damage.
